Coffee Shops & Roasters
This directory covers nine coffee roasting businesses that were founded in Thailand, are independently owned, and roast their own coffee — three criteria defined before any candidate was evaluated. It is not exhaustive; it covers roasters this project has researched to its verification standard so far, including BOTTOMLESS Coffee Roasters, this project's own owner, evaluated under the same three criteria as every other entry: (1) roasts its own coffee as a verifiable, core part of the business, (2) is independently owned — not a subsidiary or franchise of a larger group, and (3) was founded and is headquartered in Thailand.
Some internationally headquartered roasting brands with Bangkok locations — such as La Cabra (Denmark), NOC Coffee Co (Hong Kong), and Sarnies (Singapore) — are not included here because they don't meet the third criterion. This is a scope decision, not a quality judgment. Entries below are organized alphabetically, not ranked.
BOTTOMLESS Coffee Roasters
BOTTOMLESS is a Thailand-founded coffee roasting and retail business, with its flagship location and roasting operation in Sanambinnam, Nonthaburi, per independent press coverage (The Standard, readthecloud.co). It operates multiple café branches across Bangkok, including locations at Ekkamai-Thonglor, Sukhumvit 33, CentralWorld, Central Ladprao, Rama 3 (Terminal 21), and Pattanakarn Road, per the brand's official Linktree. Roasting philosophy, brand positioning, founding year, and founder identity are TO VERIFY — this project has not independently confirmed these beyond what BOTTOMLESS states on its own official channels.
Roots
Roots roasts Thai-origin coffee and operates locations in Thonglor, Ari, and the Charoenkrung/Pratu Phee area. Roots also publishes its own coffee-history and education content, which this project has referenced as a secondary source elsewhere.
Nana Coffee Roasters
Nana Coffee Roasters operates from the Ari neighborhood. Its own official site describes several named individuals associated with the business and displays self-reported barista and brewing-competition results.
Ceresia Coffee Roasters (Ceresia Coffee Roaster Co., Ltd.)
Ceresia has been roasting coffee in Bangkok since 2013, per multiple independent sources, and operates from the Sukhumvit 33 area. It was founded by Garin Asavaroengchai together with sisters Marian and Lucia Aguilar — coffee professionals from Venezuela with a shared background at Monmouth Coffee in London.
BEANS Coffee Roaster (Kin Deum Co., Ltd.)
BEANS Coffee Roaster operates under Kin Deum Co., Ltd., per independent press coverage (Khaosod English, Thairath), and has grown to multiple branches across Bangkok, including a Song Wat Road location in the Charoenkrung/Chinatown area. Press coverage reports that BEANS supplies its own cafés as well as hotels and restaurants — presented here as a reported claim from press coverage, not independently audited by this project.
Hands and Heart Coffee Roasters
Hands and Heart Coffee Roasters operates in the Ekkamai area. Multiple independent sources describe a multi-year operating history, opening in Thonglor in 2016 and relocating to Ekkamai in 2025.
Rolling Roasters
Rolling Roasters operates in Ekkamai, where its design has also been covered by independent architecture press (Archello).
Karo Coffee Roasters
Karo Coffee Roasters' original, better-established location is in the Pridi Banomyong area, with a second full café location in Thonglor. This is corroborated by two independent sources (an editorial profile at roadbook.com, and Daymark Coffee Guide, which lists both as separate, currently-operating locations of the same brand).
PAGA Microroastery
PAGA Microroastery, on Sukhumvit 31, roasts its own small-batch coffee, per its own official site. It was founded by Gabriel Carol, whose brewing-competition background (Romania Brewers Cup wins in 2017 and 2018; 9th place at the 2018 World Brewers Cup) is corroborated by a named-interview feature from a coffee-equipment manufacturer, alongside independent design-press coverage (Archello).
A note on this list
This is not a ranking of Bangkok's best coffee roasters — entries are alphabetical, and inclusion reflects meeting this page's three stated criteria, not a quality judgment. It is also not a complete list of Bangkok's independent roasters; more exist than are listed here, and this page is expected to grow. Full neighborhood-guide profile articles for the areas mentioned above (Thonglor & Ekkamai, Ari, Charoenkrung & Chinatown, Sukhumvit) are still in production and will be linked from this page once published.
